I don't have a space to read : it's no use. If there's room for you at home, then there's room for the book you're reading too. Because you hold it in your hand. Read in the kitchen, in the dining room, sitting in bed. Laws. I need absolute silence : so lock yourself away. I also prefer to read when there is silence, otherwise I can't concentrate. Close the door or read when no one is around. Or impose a quiet hour at home. I don't have enough confidence in reading : reading should not be courted. It must be addressed.
If you went to school, like everyone else - or almost Phone Number Data everyone - then you will have read something. Reading a book is more beautiful and fun than reading a school text. I can't compete with great readers : reading is not a competition to see who reads the most books a year. I didn't read any before. Then I got to about ten a year. So I went up to 20. Then I managed to get over 30 a year. Now I'm approaching 60. My personal goal is to exceed 100 books read a year. It's a competition with myself. I'm afraid I'll never finish the book : don't start with the 1000 page building blocks. It also doesn't mean that a book with many pages takes up more of your time than one with few.
It took me a month and a half to read 1300 pages of The Lord of the Rings and a whole month to read 80 (eighty) of The Old Man and the Sea . My friends and relatives say I'm wasting my time : one more reason to read. Don't listen to ignorance. Read and shock them. I'm too old now : so read, before you leave this valley of tears without having read a single book. I'm too young : there are books for all ages. This excuse doesn't hold up. They always forced me to read : me too and in fact I didn't read almost anything until I graduated. Then I perhaps made up for lost time by always reading, every day, and ended up owning almost 1500 books. It does not matter. Actually, better. In your opinion, what other excuses can be made for not reading a book?
